Computers & Technology
I have been with St. Patrick’s since the Fall of 2006 and have worn many hats since I came on board! When I was first introduced to Saint Patrick’s school, it was as Jennifer Mezzacasa, mother of Emma, a then first grader. At that time, I owned my own nanny placement agency, NannySource, and specialized in the training and development of full and part time nannies. While volunteering at St. Patrick’s that first year, I simply fell in love with the staff, the parish and of course, the kids! Within two months of being introduced to St. Pat's, I had closed down my business, converted to Catholicism and become a Teacher’s Assistant in Mrs. Wiest’s second grade classroom! The following year, I relocated to Miss VanDyke’s Kindergarten classroom and assisted in other areas as a substitute. At that time, most of the children were getting to know me as “Ms. Jen”. The 2008-2009 school year has brought a wealth of change and excitement to my life. In September, I married Maurie Maher and both Emma and I officially changed our names! Additionally, God bestowed a fantastic opportunity on me as I was named the Computer Teacher! I can’t begin to tell you how thrilled I am with this opportunity! I get to teach our children about the wonderful world of technology and I get to do it in an amazing Christian environment! Our new computer lab is nothing short of awesome and we’ll be able to use it to teach the kids many new skills including keyboarding, hardware basics, online safety and advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Publisher, Excel and many additional programs. I feel truly blessed to be a part of the St. Patrick’s family and look forward to being a part of the rich educational and spiritual environment that our children are a part of at St. Pat’s!
