Physical Education
In 2003, I graduated from Alma High School and pursued and career in education at Hastings College. I, also, played 4 years of varsity baseball for the Broncos. I graduated from Hastings College in the spring of 2007 where I did my student teaching as well at an elementary school and the middle school. From there, I did a variety of substituting in the Lincoln area. At Hastings College, I was exposed to a vast array of coaching experiences from elementary to college level and enjoyed working with the youth and watching them develop.
In working and student teaching for public schools, I have definitely noticed that at St. Patrick’s the students are being instructed to be better well-rounded people in their community. Someone told me that if you watched two children act you could tell which one went to St. Patrick’s and which one didn’t and at first I didn’t believe that. But, after working for just a couple weeks I noticed that it is very true and that’s a huge compliment to the children and staff.
I am enjoying myself at St. Patrick’s. It is like no other place I have worked. The administration and staff are the friendliest and hopeful I have ever seen and the kids are working very hard in P.E. which makes the experience more enjoyable for everyone.
I am from Alma, NE, a small town in South Central Nebraska. My parents still reside there and I currently live in Lincoln, NE and am hoping to move to this area in the near future. I became engaged in January and will be getting married next summer to my fiancée, Glynna.
I attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha and earned my degree in Education. I have taught for 25 years, all of them in Catholic Schools. I began my teaching career at St. Peter School. I continued my career at Holy Name School, teaching Physical Education and Health.
I really appreciate the opportunity to be able to share my faith with others. I believe in the mission of Catholic schools. I admire the commitment and sacrifices that parents make so their children experience Catholic education.
I am very excited to be a part of this wonderful family. Everyone has been so welcoming, friendly and ready to help. It is truly a very special place.
I am married to Fred and we have 4 wonderful children. All attended Catholic elementary and high schools. Our oldest son graduated from St. John’s University. We have a daughter at UNO and our youngest son and daughter attend Benedictine College. Family gatherings are a great time to have fun and enjoy each other. |
